Summer Tips To Freshen Up Your Home

Summer Tips To Freshen Up Your Home

We’re already halfway through Spring and it feels like the days are just flying by. After a wet and wild Winter season, the RESG team is very excited for warmer and dryer weather. We’re already daydreaming about hummingbirds, blue skies, and that beautiful Northwest sun. Although we’re ready for the warmer weather, there’s just enough time before summer to freshen up your home.

Follow These Tips To Refresh Your Home

• Plant some trees or flowers: You don’t have to be an expert to plan out where you can fit some trees or flowers. These days, you don’t even have to have a green thumb either. Some plants and vegetables require little to no attention.  Simply plant them, add water occasionally, and you’re good to go.

• Donate and/or recycle your stuff:  Scientifically proven with countless studies and doctors, one of the best ways to relieve stress is to make things disappear around the house. We don’t recommend losing things on purpose, rather selectively donating and recycling things that you really don’t need anymore.

Rearrange the house: People usually move into a new place, set everything up, and leave it the way it is for years on years. Is it really that crazy to think that this simple task is probably one of the most simple ways you can refresh your home? It really is as simple as switching up the pillows or adding a new blanket or two. Move some things around, throw some things away, maybe even re-purpose some furniture.

Refreshing your home doesn’t always require a major investment of money or time. Adding touches here and there can even add or maintain property value.
